I’m just me, myself and I. Does that answer your question? I guess not. Why are you so curious? Haha!
Instead, let me tell you how this blog started.
I’m just an average person who was introduced to trekking in 2012 – ‘Introduction to High Altitude Trekking’ organised by Adventure Quest. It was a 10-day trip (actual trek: 6 days) to Poon Hill (3210 m) in Nepal. (Sidetrack: its not actually a hill, but compare it with the other mountains >5000 m all around it, who dares to call it Poon mountain?) I thought: “If not now, then when?”. So I asked around and found a colleague who’s game enough to go with me, and so we signed up for it.
That was my first official trekking trip, and I was hooked since then. Another major mountain I’ve climbed after that is Mount Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia (see blog post). But due to my knee problems (and I suspect: lung problems too), I haven’t been training a lot, and so didn’t dare to aim to complete any major mountains in the near future. My wishlist (not in order): Xue Shan, Fasipan and Rinjani for the time being.
Why the blog? Because since my first trek, there were subsequent treks in 2013. And when my friend and I were trying to count how many places we went, we had a hard time recalling all. So the purpose of this blog is to serve as a reminder or record of the treks/climbs/walks I’ve been on, so that I won’t forget.
So, be patient while I try to keep track of all the treks/walks I’ve been to since 2012, and don’t be disappointed if you don’t see regular updates (that just means I haven’t been climbing).
Cheers! 🙂
